On February 21 2015 took place, simultaneously in 38 cities in the world including Palermo, the WIAD or World Information Architecture Day.
The event is an free one-day annual conference hosted by the Information Architecture Institute and held in dozens of cities across the world.
The World IA Day aims to put together professionals and enthusiasts who share the common goal of teaching, learning, and shaping the future of Information Architecture.
The theme of this year was “Architecting Happiness“: the relationship between information and emotion and, in particular, how an clear and consistent information architecture can infuse serenity and sense of fulfillment.
PUSH decided to bring this international format for the first time in Palermo and took care of the event organization, in order to enrich its own territory.
The conference took place at Sala delle Lapidi within Palazzo delle Aquile in Palermo where nine speakers alternating nine speakers addressed the issue of Information Architecture in relation to happiness.
Participants received the gadgets made by Edizioni Precarie, as a memento of the day, and were also involved in street food tour in the historic center organized in collaboration with StrEAt Palermo Tour.
Great interest from the audience, made up by professionals and simple users intrigued by the theme of the event, and an excellent success online too: over 200 online viewers for the live streaming plus an intense live tweeting activity during the day through the hashtag #wiadpalermo.
