Ten days to the start of “Human Flows”, event promoted by UN Habitat and organized by PUSH in collaboration with the Municipality of Palermo to foster a dialogue on the future of human mobility flows who arrive in Palermo or from Palermo reach other destinations in Italy and around the world.
The aim of the event, one of the 59 Urban Thinkers Campuses selected for 2019 and the fourth organized by PUSH in recent years, is to develop proposals and inspire visions on Infrastructure & Policies, Services & Data, Rights & Laws related to the topic of human mobility.
On 14, 15 and 16 November, local and international speakers – professionals, representatives of public administrations and academics – will be invited to share concrete proposals and good practices replicable in Palermo.
The event will be divided into three afternoon sessions open to the public, symbolically hosted in three crucial places for city mobility: “Human Flows” will start on Thursday, November 14 in the conference room Monsignor Bruno at the Port of Palermo, will continue the day after at the Notarbartolo Station and will close on Saturday November 16 inside the Falcone e Borsellino Airport.
Among the speakers scheduled, Costanza La Mantia, urban designer and representative of UN HABITAT; Adrian Schönig, CTO of the Australian startup SkedGo; Alessandra Sciurba, national representative of Mediterranea Saving Humans; Simone D’Antonio, Communication Expert of ANCI and the European network URBACT.
At the end of the Urban Thinkers Campus, all the contributions collected will be shared with the Local Administration, UN Habitat and finally condensed in a publication edited by Altralinea.
