The Art Of Creative City Making by Charles Landry Curated by Marco Rainò is an exhibition-event that celebrates the use of imagination and creativity as crucial strategic resources in the process of change and regeneration of cities, attributing them the role of powerful vectors capable of influencing the quality of life of the individuals who inhabit the urban context. Unanimously considered an international authority on the subject, Charles Landry is the visionary theorist who coined the concept of the ‘Creative City’ in the late 1980s and then deepened and broadened this new definition through significant subsequent reflections.
We designed an integrated communication project to announce the exhibition and generate interest in the proposed themes. Thanks to the website chiediacharles.it one can question Charles Landry about the structure of contemporary society and the role of cities and buy fake gadgets inspired by the main English and Favara’s traditional sweets in the fake shop.
The opening of the exhibition in Favara, as part of the SI – South Italy Architecture Festival in 2020, was announced by an “arrotino” in the streets of the city and the fake shop sweets were distributed to participants.
