Open House Roma is an app designed to allow a more complete and interactive experience during the event

Open House Roma is an annual event, related to the largest international event Open House Worldwide, that in a single weekend allows the free opening of hundreds of buildings notable for their architectural and artistic distinctive features. The guided visits, conducted by the event designers, with the support of the architecture students from the University of Rome and the architecture lovers, the walking and cycling tours and the many special events will allow citizens to discover the hidden heritage of the city of Rome. Particularly those spaces that for their daily function or for lack of opportunities aren’t open to public use.

The opportunity to visit over 170 sites in just one weekend requires a tool capable of providing users with the best experience in the use of the event. For this reason we designed an app that includes all the sites and events scheduled d within a map, sorted by distance from user’s location and filtered according to user’s needs and preferences. Each site included in Open House Roma is also characterized by a dedicated page through which you can book your visit.

The mobile app, available for iOS and Android operating systems, is updated annually and, thanks to the features of booking and geolocation, allows visitors to experience the Open House event in a more complete and interactive way.

The app has reached over 4000 downloads, distributed almost equally between Android and Apple devices. The features and functionalities developed can be easily reused, enabling the development of custom apps for the management and promotion of events even in different contexts and sectors.
