During the Urban Creativity Day, organised by PUSH and Gruppo Emergency Palermo among the events of the Settimana delle Culture, sunday may 14th a new project by Street Art Factory was presented.
The name of the project is SuperFotoColla (SuperPhotoGlue): a creative photography workshop designed by the photographer Roberto Boccaccino, from Minimum, for the kids of Centro Santa Chiara in the Ballarò district (Palermo).
SuperFotoColla uses photographic portraits to create a reflection and active knowledge among children about the interaction between the photograph and subjects. After the shooting, the pictures are printed in pieces on A4 paper and than affixed to the walls of the Santa Chiara’s portico as huge posters. The Santa Chiara center, in the Albergheria district (Palermo), from the 80s hosts day and night citizens and migrants providing them shelter, meals, medical care, legal advice, job orientation, childcare and much more.
To finance the project a new group of artworks by the artist The Saint has been uploaded on the shop section of street art factory website. So please, have a look. By purchasing the prints you’ll support urban art and you’ll offer new interesting experience of informal education for kids in the urban environment. The festival of graphic illustration Ciciri is also supporting the project.
Every purchase 4 euros will be used to finance the SuperFotoColla project.
