Fare startup in Sicilia si può. E anche con successo. Il dibattito moderato da Barbara Carfagna, giornalista del Tg1 A Palazzo Mazzarino, sede Università Telematica Pegaso, ha testimoniato che l’isola ha ormai un ruolo consolidato nel settore.

The Urban Thinkers Campus will be held in Caserta at the Belvedere di San Leucio on 15-18 October. This is an initiative of the UN-Habitat that, in association with the Forum delle Culture di Napoli e della Campania, will explore the theme “The City We Need”. The goal of the campus is to bring together urban thinkers, philosophers, writers, journalists, bloggers, urban planners and designers, city leaders and decision makers, businessmen, marketing and communication experts, and all those that in various ways are interested in the topics connected to urban policies, which will mark the approach of Habitat III.

Within this grand event we will have our own space on Wednesday 15, from 2 to 4 pm. The topic of our session is “The City as a Service”, where speakers will talk about a new approach in designing services for the city, an approach having at its center the citizens conceived as a community.

On 22-24 October in Milan will be held Fieramilanocity SMAU, an event dedicated to technology and innovation. MIUR will be present in the Open Innovation area together with the fourteen winners of the competition “Smart Cities and Communities and Social Innovation”.

The fourteen innovative projects will be presented in a dedicated exhibiting space in order to promote their business ideas and projects, exchange information, and network. Among these, trafficO2, the market-based social computing project for the mobility of urban communities developed by PUSH.

During the three-day event, more than twenty educational workshops will be held by

instructors, analysts, experts in funding for businesses and startups, smart working, open innovation, crowdsourcing, and much more.

Finally on Friday 24 October at 1 pm the innovative projects regarding Smart City and Social Innovation, including trafficO2, will be introduced in only 90 seconds in a speed pitching moderated by Emil Abirascid.

After the success of the 2013 edition, this year PUSH was again selected among the two hundred participants to Expo delle Startup in Milan, at Palazzo Lombardia on Thursday 19 and Friday 20 June.

This third edition of the event fits in the larger context of Cross Creativity program, a festival organized by Regione Lombardia in order to promote innovation, culture, and creativity, through a program full of initiatives.

This is s an unmissable date for startuppers and investors, an opportunity to meet, share ideas, and experiences in several fields: advertising, gaming, tourism, culture, desing/architecture, and the digital world.

 Four of our PUSHers participated to the Startup Weekend Palermo – the event gathering developers, designers, business and marketing experts, product managers, and in general all those interested in the world of Internet, of mobile, of ICT and innovation – held from 29 November to 1 Dicember 2013 at ITIS Vittorio Emanuele III in Palermo.

Here we would like to congratulate Mauro Filippi, Angelo Marchesin, Alessandro Riva e Claudio Terzo that – in team with Angelo Calderone, Antonio Liuni, Mario Malcangi, and Veronica Schembri – whose idea received the second prize: Ciciro, a web and mobile platform for the promotion of the territory through food and wine excellences.

trafficO2 will participate to the Startup Iniative, the project promoted by Intesa Sanpaolo as accelerating platform for the most innovative startup in the following five areas: mobile; biotechnologies and health; nanotechnologies and materials; renewable energies; social ventures and startup with high social impact.

It will be two events in one single day. The presentation of traffic02 will take place at the Fiera delle Startup where PUSH will be present with its own counter display at the Sole 24 Ore HQ in Milan, via Monte Rosa, 91.

The appointment there is for 17 June, at 3 pm.

In only four years, there have been over sixty successful cases of operators that have joined Startup Initiative, now at its tenth edition. The goal is that of supporting for the world of innovation by offering educational services and a permanent scouting among incubators and contests for the sector, guiding start uppers towards the exit phase.

lso, by participating to this event, trafficO2 will be given the possibility to access Mobicap, the arena meeting addressed to Italian and international companies, institutions, and investors to become familiar with the most innovative projects in the areas of mobility, ICT, and mobile services.

At the top of the list of pitch videos with over 1,400 likes, TrafficO2’s pitch is awarded the participation to the Fiera delle Startup organized by Gruppo 24 Ore to promote an encounter between startuppers and investors.

This event, now at its second edition, is realized in collaboration with Il Sole 24 Ore, Radio 24, Startuppami, and Startupbusiness and will take place Monday 17 June in Milan, via Monte Rosa, 91.

It will be a creativity contest, where two hundreds startups grouped by thematic areas, will compete for the attention of visitors and investors.

The program of the event also includes in depth analysis and discussions on the creation and management of a startup, moments for debating on innovations (from crowdfunding to crowdsourcing), a virtual tour of the Fiera aftermath, and even a flashmob.

The interview was realized  by Officine Formative, the school of business of Intesa Sanpaolo to provide solid ground to the new startups with valuable ideas for business.

The occasion was prompted by PUSH’s participation to Startup Initiative, a showcase of the most innovative startups promoted by Intesa Sanpaolo as an important occasion for in depth analysis and networking with industrial and financial actors on the international scene.

trafficO2,PUSH’s leading project, was particularly appreciated. trafficO2 represents a novel approach to mobility and aims at changing the citizens’ habits through a convenient trade-off where prizes are exchanged with sustainable behaviors.

Officine Formative asked us to tell about trafficO2 and the birth of the first Palermo-based civic startup by answering to five simple questions concerning: the idea, the team, the target, the business model, and the projects for the future.

This was a great opportunity to share an ambitious project and tell about our idea of Smart City.

The second edition of the event – organized by Il Sole 24 Ore, Radio 24, Startuppami and Startupbusiness – will be held in Milano on June 17^th.

Only one hundred startups will be granted access to the fair, which will be able to explain their projects to the visitors, investors, and businesspeople.

The winner will be the videos with the most likes on Facebook.
