Ghent
In Ghent the pilot will be implemented in the neighborhood of Muide/Meulestede, in the harbor of Ghent, just outside the city centre. The area is almost completely surrounded by water and accessible through two bridges and one four-lane road.
Kids cycle to school in between heavy traffic; there’s no cycling lane in the busiest street of the neighborhood. Public transport is limited to one bus line and one tram line. The pilot will be coordinated by LUCA School of Arts [LUCA] and facilitated by the City of Ghent [GHENT], both project partners.
