Helsinki’s pilot will focus on new smart district Jätkäsaari is traffic-wise a bottleneck, a small island which additionally to 20.000+ future inhabitants and businesses also encompasses the main part of Helsinki’s passenger harbor, with very limited connections to mainland. Much of Helsinki’s effort on developing new smart mobility solutions is focused on this hotspot. Additionally Helsinki, being the birthplace and leading developer for the renowned Mobility as a Service (MaaS) concept, is able to link MUV to the customer base of world’s first MaaS operators. The pilot will be coordinated by Forum Virium Helsinki [FVH] which is formally part of the City of Helsinki Group.
